Please enjoy a timelapse video that I executed on Sunday, April 25th, at the vantage located at 5th & Lynn Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle. From this stellar viewpoint on a clear day, you can see five different neighborhoods of the city simultaneously — in addition to the colossal, jagged summits of the Cascade Mountains along the eastern horizon.
This timelapse showcases the entertaining activity taking place on Lake Union over a period of 90 minutes in 70 seconds with approximately 1,550 exposures. Here you go!
During the time that I spent at this vantage, I also captured some images of the very alluring, urban landscape. Towards the end of my stay, a beautiful rainbow presented some marvelous photographic opportunities. Unfortunately, the rainbow appeared outside the frame of the timelapse. (Note: Alright, that’s not 100% accurate. The rainbow does make a cameo in the timelapse, but my own bias in believing most people don’t pay attention to details is inaccurate. If you look at the center of the video, or slightly right of center, along the horizon, the tail end of the rainbow does appear at 56 seconds into the video). Nevertheless, that’s why carrying more than one camera is always advantageous! Please enjoy some of the captured landscapes below.
