Established in December 2009, TIA International Photography is a licensed photography business based in Seattle, Washington, USA.

TIA has been an accredited business of the Better Business Bureau of the Great West & Pacific since October 2011.

TIA International Photography’s objective is to present your city, town, region, or locale in the most mesmerizing, fascinating, and atypical way possible to leave you and your audience in inspired and indelible awe. CREED

TIA’s primary focus is to present glorious images of the world’s magnificent cities. Given that a portraiture is the portrait of a person, TIA believes a cityscape is the portrait of a city. Cities are very much like people, each with its own DNA and personality. Cityscapes and urban landscapes reveal a city’s personality to its own residents, visitors, and the world. When someone opines, “Cities are all the same. You’ve seen one. You’ve seen them all,” TIA’s creed is to forever disprove this notion.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

The Man, The Cameras & The Revelation

In the decadent decade of the 1980s, a bright and intelligent boy by the name of Tosin (“Toe-sin”) was presented with an amazing gift – a Minolta Maxxum 5000 single lens reflex camera. He gave the camera a nickname, “Minny.” For the next 20 years, Tosin and Minny would be inseparable.  They would travel to destinations in North America, Europe, and Africa, capturing the magnificent cities and landscapes during each adventure. From the soaring skyscrapers of New York City and the enchanting fjords of Norway to the sun-drenched beaches of Puerto Rico, Tosin and Minny documented the beauty and intrigue of their surroundings. Minny had performed so well that it wasn’t until 2007 when Tosin had first considered a serious upgrade for the times.  There was nothing wrong with Minny, but when the cost of developing film became equivalent to transcontinental round-trip airfare between Seattle and Washington, D.C., the opportunity to become more sophisticated with contemporary photography clearly presented itself.

That’s where “Alphonso,” Tosin’s first digital single lens reflex camera, entered the picture. He is an Alpha 100, the pioneer and young grandfather of the Sony Alpha series of digital photography.  In March 2010,  “Alphie”, an Alpha 850, joined the team and retired in August 2013.  As of September 2013, the latest Sony full-frame camera, the A99 (“Ananda”), has been the primary camera of choice for almost all professional projects, events, and travels.

After several years of endless encouragement from family and friends, Tosin gradually consolidated his confidence, attained his business licenses, and decided to finally share his photography with you and the rest of the world.
