Happy Halloween!

This is the Photo of the Day for October 31st from TIA’s Project “2014 : 365”, my personally assigned photography challenge of the year.  The challenge is to capture one image each day of the year of subject matter I typically would not photography. To date, I have only missed one day, and that was…

Timelapsin’ 2009 to 2014

After plenty of research and a few experiments, I have put together my first “real” time-lapse video. I recently purchased a wireless intervalometer and have been experimenting with some time-lapse photography! I call it the “first real time-lapse” because I discovered in my research that I was not compiling the exposures properly in previous videos!…

The City & The Music Video, Part I

By now, I hope I have established that I’m thoroughly enamored with our world’s biggest (and not so big) metropolises.  I am crazy about them.  Cities are like people.  They have personalities, attitudes, cultures, and a way of life that differs from others — just like people.  Chicago has an essence and personality that is…

“State of Independence”

Hello, everyone!  I hope you have all been having an excellent summer (or winter!) in your respective parts of the planet.  I have been away for quite some time, but I plan to make the effort to be around much more frequently since I have recently detoxified and purged some long-term poisons in my professional…

“Know Thy Printer. . .”

“Photographers, know thy printer, for the printer will forever portray your perspective to the world.” A most frustrating situation occurred in early November that has inevitably motivated me to narrate a very exasperating experience with you.  This story should be shared because it is a collection of events not dissimilar to a comedy of consecutive…

Photographing Skeletons

TIA International Photography would like to use this article as a special opportunity to promote two partners who have been integral to promoting TIA in the last year.  The first partner is Kirk DeMatas, the author of “Wordspeak” (2008) and, more recently, “Conversations with Skeletons” (2012).  TIA provided some photography for “Wordspeak”, and was hired…

For all the moms. . .

TIA International Photography would like to extend fond wishes to all the mothers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers, aunts, and sisters on this Mothers Day — today and always.

Can’t Get New York Out of My Head

Hi everyone!  Please enjoy my latest photo video showcase, featuring the mega-metropolis known as New York City.  This is my first full-length photo video since last year’s “Paris X.X.L.”!  In addition to my passion for night-time photography and aerial photography, I often like to compile the hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs from one location…

“Conversations with Skeletons”

TIA International Photography would like to take a moment to share a promo video from a very good friend, Canadian author Kirk DeMatas, regarding the upcoming published release of his 2nd compilation of profound poetry, “Conversations with Skeletons.”
TIA traveled on assignment to Toronto last September to conduct the photo shoot with Kirk and mutual friends. You will see a sample of some of that photography here. (These images are quite different from what you’re used to seeing, which makes Kirk’s project all that more intriguing)!

Kirk’s book will premiere this fall! Stayed tuned for more information!
